Artist Statement
The "Dust Tree II" is made from recycled materials: the branches of the tree take their second life from old wood crates and the bronze creatures made by HK secondary school students. Base on the research of local popular tree "Acacia Confuse" & "Bombax Ceiba" for the creation development.

How is this society formed? What is my role in this society? Maybe this tree will let me share the understanding when I am sitting or standing there.

The creatures from the forest which the students made act as the metaphor of various people living in this city. This tree could be epitomized as a society more than just a recycled tree, everyone definitely could find him or herself from here. Good luck!
