Online Eco-leadership Programme
Do you know how many insect species live in Hong Kong? 10,000, 20,000 or 30,000? No one knows the exact number, but for sure, they exceed any other groups of animals or plants in terms of diversity. Another certainty is the paramount role that insects play in the functioning and health of ecosystems, even if these roles are often underappreciated or even misunderstood by most people.
Nature Discovery Park and the School of Biological Sciences of The University of Hong Kong co-developed the online eco-leadership programme, which aims to introduce the ecological importance of biodiversity and participants will learn about the direct resources insects provide to human, as well as the influence they have in science and art.

When it comes to what’s strange or normal in our day-to-day lives, who’s to say? As a cultural landmark that sparks endless creativity, K11 Art Mall questions this reality as we draw artistic inspiration from the surreal moments of everyday life.
Like pens to paper, we ignite our creative minds across a blank slate of possibilities and take you on a journey of imagination through the normally abnormal Joint Exhibition, presented by the Art Venture Association. Presented in K11 Art Mall’s inaugural Design Fest, the exhibition in two parts takes place over a period of 6 weeks, where normally abnormal transforms into abnormally normal to highlight the delicate balance between strangeness and normality.
Gathering more than 40 local multimedia artists including illustrator Lam Pei, book designer Hei Ping and embroiderer Littlelenpopo, the exhibition showcases illustrations, murals, and installations that magnify the weirdness of daily life.
We dare you to reimagine your ordinary world in all its eccentric glory, and start your journey of imagination at Design Fest in K11 Art Mall today!
